JAI-ALAI -- SPORT TO LIVE OR DIE WITH
Here is a game that works to the extremes. Most people in the world have never even heard of it. The fastest ball speed of any known game..... The instant possibility of being maimed for life..... And, for the audience, some of the highest pay off betting known in any sport.
Do you have to be a bit crazy? Almost, at least willing to gamble in every aspect of the sport. I have seen the game played in Mexico, and it is WILD, absolutely wild, and almost too fast to follow. Every person playing and watching pours off tons of adrenalin.
Here is a US news documentary on Jai-Alai in Florida:
Rick Warren and Joel Osteen ought to get up a team and play Jai-Alai in church. That should get all the nervous nut cases to go to church.
Played in three walls and the floor-- Pray that the net, in place of the fourth wall, and through which you watch the game, stops that 150 MPH ball that goes astray:
Making of a Cesta:
Here is a fast look at some behind the scenes activity. Sorry about he frantic music:
HERE IS A NEW SPORT-- A BIT LESS DEADLY THAN JAI-ALAI

MORE FUTURE HOPE IN NASHVILLE THAN IN JOEL OSTEEN
Mega church religion is void of eschatology, that is, doctrine of the End Times.
Would you agree?

FROM LONG AGO--- HORST
I worked in a gas (petrol) station back in the 1960s to pay my tuition an board during college days. One summer I worked for a Richmond station in Hacienda Heights out of Los Angeles, and at lunch time I would go around to a deli, buy a sub sandwich and a bottle of Squirt (grapefruit soda), drive up in the hills overlooking the city, and turn on the radio to the easy listening station.
Horst Jankowski was very popular in those day, and A Walk in The Black Forest was a big hit. It is curious how a song can bring back a wave of memories.
How about you? Here is Horst just for my groupies :-)

STARVING IRAN INTO SUBMISSION?
This is the story you will not find in the US media. The USA and EU are pressing India, via claims of default on payment and the embargo against Iran, to not deliver rice and corn from India to Tehran.
This punishes both Iran and India. Iran may have to do a sell off of beef because the corn is to feed livestock. This will eventually result in a shortage of beef, and food shortages are not something Iran has felt in recent years. The net effect will be to force Iran to come out of the corner where they are trapped and attack someone.
It is an old folly of kings to think they can starve people into submission. History tells us the the response is not pleasant.
So, is this calculated by Washington DC? I suspect it is, and I believe the healthcare bill, trying to force church organizations to sponsor contraception and sterilization, is a smoke screen to distract Americans from the brutal pounding the world is trying to give Iran.
In fact, it would be much more merciful and effective to turn Israel loose to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities, and the US could follow up and quickly give Iran pause to think and cut a deal. But, this blockade of food from India appears to me to be a baiting event meant to draw Iran out to start a war.
Thus, the Western nations can say, "They started it, we simply were forced to defend our friends." Old song, new dancers. Blah, Blah, Blah.

BACK IN THE CORNER SITS PAUL SHABANOV
When you load this page, ask your browser to translate it for you. Now, if you are visiting from Russia, you will understand this a lot better than we in the West do.
READ ABOUT A HEARING THAT WENT SOUTH AND THE PROSECUTION AND PROSECUTION OF A JOURNALIST IN RUSSIA
So, in the corners far from the world's news rooms, the new Russia is still a lot like the old USSR. They are not sent to the Gulag, but they are sent into unemployment and obscurity as an option to the Gulag.
It would be fun to visit these folks way back in the corners of Russia and learn what is really happening. I would say to my readers around the world, if you think Americans are like the idiots and bumblers in high office in America, you are very wrong. America too is almost totally unknown to the people of the world because all the news agencies of the world tend to look at the plastic pompous people in Washington DC and Hollywood.
